Most experts believe that MCS begins with exposure to a chemical compound and a chain reaction then takes place, broadening the spectrum of compounds to which an individual is sensitive. As indicated by the name, people who suffer from this condition are sensitive to a wide number of compounds. There are various theories regarding the reason why MCS is triggered in our body. Some experts believe that it is a symptom of a mental illness and is due to psychological reasons. The other extreme theory states that MCS is indeed due to chemical compounds harming the individual, therefore physical reasons.
